Meet Maggie, an eight month old female kitten is available for adoption through Clay County Animal Rescue and Shelter. Maggie used to be a shy kitten, but since spending time in two different foster homes she has become incredibly social. Maggie is a playful and active kitten. She loves to chase her wand toy and expend some energy before finding a lap to cuddle up in. She also loves to explore new rooms in her foster family's house, and climb on the cat shelving. A curious kitten, Maggie is always up for seeing new things, and would probably enjoy exploring the neighborhood on a leash. Maggie is the perfect kitten, full of energy and life, and always interested in what the people around her are doing. She's not a low maintenance kitten, but if you're looking for a companion who will always pay attention to you and eagerly await your next adventure together, Maggie might be the one for you. Apply to adopt her at https://www.claycountyshelter.com. Clay County Animal Rescue & Shelter is located at 375 Water Elm Lane, Flora, IL. Our phone number is 618-665-3005. We are renovating our shelter so hours are by appointment only. The typical adoption fee for dogs is $150. It includes vaccination, deworming , spay/neuter, heartworm testing on dogs of age and microchipping, which is now mandatory by state law. Some dogs we discount to as little as $50 due to sponsorship. Some dogs we ask a higher adoption fee, which helps us recoup expenses on heartworm treatment on other dogs. All cats are spayed/neutered/vaccinated/flea treated/dewormed and microchipped prior to adoption. Cat adoption fees range from $60-$100. We spay/neuter/microchip/vaccinate and deworm all kittens and cats, prior to adoption. Our shyer/less adoptable cats are classed as "barn cats" and are free with a completed/approved barn cat application, which can be found on our website.
