Barrett is around 60 pounds at six months old. 

Barrett is very calm and personable, gentle and sweet.  He has a big bark but is a big baby, truth be told.  He isn't wired like a security dog, though he looks like he would be.  Something scares him in the dark he runs behind me and hides.  He is an excellent dog, good with other dogs, though he likes to wrestle with all of the bigger dogs and pups that like to play. 

Barrett is built like a draft horse and prefers walking to running.  He is not the dog to choose as a running companion. 

Barrett wants to be with his people a lot and would do well in a setting where he has lots of room and lots of companionship, preferably indoors, though he likes to go on walks and benefits from exercise and ample time outdoors.  He loves being inside at night and nap times.  He is crate trained and most of the way to housetrained.

The typical adoption fee for dogs is $150.  It includes vaccination, deworming , spay/neuter, heartworm testing on dogs of age and microchipping, which is now mandatory by state law.  Some dogs we discount to as little as $50 due to sponsorship.  Some dogs we ask a higher adoption fee, which helps us recoup expenses on heartworm treatment on other dogs.

All cats are spayed/neutered/vaccinated/flea treated/dewormed and microchipped prior to adoption.  Cat adoption fees range from $60-$100.  We spay/neuter/microchip/vaccinate and deworm all kittens and cats, prior to adoption.  Our shyer/less adoptable cats are classed as "barn cats" and are free with a completed/approved barn cat application, which can be found on our website.
