Clay County Animal Rescue & ShelterPomeranian (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Senior : : Small
Apple showed up as a stray in Flora and was brought to our booth at Apple Knocker, thus the name. A day later, April, a little cream pomeranian, showed up a few blocks away as a stray. We made every effort to find/locate an owner, but no owner ever showed up, so both dogs were available for adoption. Apple had bad teeth, so she got a dental when we had her spayed and vaccinated for rabies. Apple is heartworm negative and fully up to date on vaccinations now. Apple will make a wonderful lap dog for someone. If interested please fill out an adoption application on our website. Apple's adoption fee is only $50 to an approved home. It includes vaccination, deworming , spay/neuter, heartworm testing on dogs of age and microchipping, which is now mandatory by state law. Some dogs we discount to as little as $50 due to sponsorship. Some dogs we ask a higher adoption fee, which helps us recoup expenses on heartworm treatment on other dogs. We spay/neuter/microchip/vaccinate and deworm all kittens and cats, prior to adoption. Our shyer/less adoptable cats are classed as "barn cats" and are free with a completed/approved barn cat application, which can be found on our website.
